The grapes for this wine come from Stan Simpson’s remote “Two Moon Vineyard” which is located on a steep slope in the western mountains above the Dry Creek Valley floor. This vineyard is especially appealing because of its razor thin soils and high alltitude. These factors lead to small crop levels of high intensity fruit with substantial tannins.
Our 2008 RRV Chardonnay, from Lazy W Ranch, which came from a moderate crop, coupled with a very long growing season, allowed these 30 year old vines to produce a classic Russian River Chardonnay.
Our first release ever of Rose! What a beauty to look at...even better to taste! Medium rose-red in color, this nicely structured rosé shows bright strawberry, flower petal, and citrus aromas that are very expressive in the nose. Only 96 cases! Do not miss out on THE summer sipper. New Release!
Always one of the most complex and showy wines the 2008 Russian River Pinot Noir has juicy flavors, floral notes of rose petal and jasmine and a hint of sweet spice. New Release!

Our '08 zin is flashy & fragrant with aromas of ripe black berry, black cherry, plum, cedar, and mocha oak tones. On the palate, it is rich & expressive with flavors of dark berry fruit and hints of coffee-mocha. This Zin is a bit old school in style showing great depth, but also having a balanced well structured finish.
The 2007 August Briggs Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is a blend of two very special mountain vineyards: The first is the famed Stagecoach vineyard on the rocky, volcanic soils of Atlas Peak; and the second is the Corbett vineyard located on a rocky hillside just north of the town on St. Helena in the Spring Mountain appellation. Both of these vineyards are located pproximately 1000 feet above the Napa Valley floor.
The “Monte Rosso” or “Red Mountain” vineyard is so named for its rich, red volcanic soils. Nestled in the majestic Mayacamas Mountain range, almost 1,000 feet above the Sonoma Valley floor, this steep and rugged mountain vineyard has a desirable western exposure that produce intense, powerful wines.
Dark purple in color, this wine is chocked full of ripe fruit flavors. Intense flavors of raspberry, black cherry, dark chocolate and spice, combined with a balanced but well structured finish. Being smooth and silky in the mouth, this wine still has plenty of guts to go the distance.
